PC Assembly Guide

Building your own PC can be fun and rewarding — and I can guide you through each step. No need to feel overwhelmed. Just follow this process and take your time.

๐Ÿงฐ What You’ll Need:

  • ✅ All your PC parts: motherboard, CPU, GPU, RAM, SSD/HDD, PSU, case, cooler, etc.
  • ✅ Tools: A Phillips screwdriver, thermal paste (if not pre-applied), and an anti-static wrist strap (optional but helpful).

๐Ÿ“ฆ Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Install CPU on the motherboard – Align the CPU with the socket and gently lock it in place.

  2. Apply thermal paste & install the cooler – If your cooler doesn’t have paste pre-applied, add a small pea-sized drop before mounting.

  3. Insert RAM – Check your motherboard’s manual for the right slots if you’re using 2 sticks.

  4. Place the motherboard into the case – Make sure standoffs are in place and screw it down securely.

  5. Install the power supply (PSU) – Mount it in the case (usually bottom-back) and connect necessary power cables.

  6. Connect storage (SSD/HDD) – Secure your drives and plug in both power and SATA/PCIe cables.

  7. Install GPU – Insert it into the PCIe slot and secure it with screws. Connect PCIe power if required.

  8. Connect front panel ports & case fans – Carefully plug in power/reset switches, USB, audio, and fan headers (check motherboard guide).

  9. Cable management – Tidy up cables for better airflow and looks using zip ties or Velcro straps.

  10. First boot – Power on and enter BIOS (usually by pressing DEL or F2). Check if all parts are detected.

๐Ÿงช Final Checks:

  • ๐Ÿ” All fans spinning?
  • ๐Ÿ”Œ Cables properly seated?
  • ๐Ÿ“€ Boot drive detected?

Once everything looks good: Install Windows or your preferred OS, update drivers, and run a few stress tests or monitoring tools like HWMonitor to verify temps and health.
