PC Assembly Guide
Building your own PC can be fun and rewarding — and I can guide you through each step. No need to feel overwhelmed. Just follow this process and take your time.
๐งฐ What You’ll Need:
- ✅ All your PC parts: motherboard, CPU, GPU, RAM, SSD/HDD, PSU, case, cooler, etc.
- ✅ Tools: A Phillips screwdriver, thermal paste (if not pre-applied), and an anti-static wrist strap (optional but helpful).
๐ฆ Step-by-Step Guide:
- Install CPU on the motherboard – Align the CPU with the socket and gently lock it in place.
- Apply thermal paste & install the cooler – If your cooler doesn’t have paste pre-applied, add a small pea-sized drop before mounting.
- Insert RAM – Check your motherboard’s manual for the right slots if you’re using 2 sticks.
- Place the motherboard into the case – Make sure standoffs are in place and screw it down securely.
- Install the power supply (PSU) – Mount it in the case (usually bottom-back) and connect necessary power cables.
- Connect storage (SSD/HDD) – Secure your drives and plug in both power and SATA/PCIe cables.
- Install GPU – Insert it into the PCIe slot and secure it with screws. Connect PCIe power if required.
- Connect front panel ports & case fans – Carefully plug in power/reset switches, USB, audio, and fan headers (check motherboard guide).
- Cable management – Tidy up cables for better airflow and looks using zip ties or Velcro straps.
- First boot – Power on and enter BIOS (usually by pressing DEL or F2). Check if all parts are detected.
๐งช Final Checks:
- ๐ All fans spinning?
- ๐ Cables properly seated?
- ๐ Boot drive detected?
Once everything looks good: Install Windows or your preferred OS, update drivers, and run a few stress tests or monitoring tools like HWMonitor to verify temps and health.
